The Grand
Tradition
of the
WAVERLY MIDWEST HORSE SALE
In the late 1940s, when the future of the draft horse in
America was bleakest, Arnold Hexom established the Waverly Sales
Company. Bill Dean joined Arnold in 1964 to create what would become
arguably the biggest factor in the dramatic return of the draft
horse industry in America. Once the only sale of its kind, the
Waverly auction remains the sale to which all others are compared.
With this video, you can meet the people behind the scenes and join
the thousands of visitors who flock here to bid on hundreds of
horses, wagons, plows, spreaders, harnesses, collars and more.
